Spotlight on Christmas

Posted by Picasa
Spotlight on Christmas is a new set for this year and has six great stamps, some of which fit the Stampin' Up! punches perfectly. My challenge last night to myself was to use this set with colours other than Earth Elements.
So I decided to use Rose Red and Always Artichoke from the Rich Regals colour family. The poinsettas are punched out using the SU flower punch as are the petals which were then hand-cut. There is some Dazzlin' Diamonds on the card too for that extra bit of Christmas bling. The sentiment stamp comes from the Season of Joy set (another Christmas must have).
If you'd like any more information about these stamps please get in touch.
Happy Stamping.

Stamping Away Day

Today is the second Stamping Away event and I made these toppers to go on cello bags filled with sweeties. They'll go in the goodie bags our attendees get. There are also Snowman and Robin toppers to give some new ideas for using the Stampin' Up! punches.

I think I'm all organised (that'll be a first!). Now I'd better get me ready.

I am so organised. No really. I am ready for Mother's Day 2010 (and it's okay, my mum doesn't even know I have a blog).

It's all thanks to the wonderful Medallion stamp from the new catalogue. It is a stunning stamp. I only wish my photography could do justice to this fabulous stamp. I've stamped part of the image using Ruby Red and then cut out two blooms using the Boho Blossoms punch and stuck them on with a Ruby Red brad. The sentiment is from the Occasional Greetings set which I only got round to buying last week (why did I wait?).

Right I'm off back to making Christmas card samples for next weekend's Stamping Away event. http://www.stampingaway.co.uk/

Happy Stamping

Time to get bloggin'

It's time to join blog-land. I've tried to resist but as Oscar Wilde said "I can resist anything except temptation".

Today saw the launch of the new 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Catalogue and Idea Book with some lovely new stamp set, punches and accessories. I'm glad that a number of products from the last Catalogue are still available as I haven't had the chance to buy them all yet!

If you would like a copy of the new Catalogue and Idea Book (it's far easier to read a paper copy than online) then drop me a line. My special offer to start my blog off is that if you order the Catalogue from me for £5 then I'll post it out to you with a £5 voucher redeemable against your next order of £35 or more from me.
Email me on helen@howden.me to place your order.
