Easter Wishes

It's been a while and I'd really forgotten I had a blog until I saw it on the blog list of a friend whilst blog hopping the other day. It's maybe time then to update my neglected blog with another card.

I was inspired yesterday to make my Mum and Dad an Easter card by the scrap of Prima paper left over from a beautiful class created by the gorgeous and sickingly talented Ann Freeman and taught at the ATDML spring retreat.  It was also a perfect excuse to use my new Four Frames Stampin' Up! stamp set with the new decorative label punch.  The Prima paper matches pefectly with SU rose red cardstock and I've added some soft suede seam binding and flower made from rose red seam binding.

Mum was delighted with the card but I think Dad was more impressed with his chocolate egg!

Monkey Business

Today we woke up to a the prospect of a hung parliament. Whilst we are hanging around waiting to see what will happen I thought I would share some monkeys doing a bit of hanging around.

When I first saw the Mini Catalogue, Fox & Friends was not a set I liked but I thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did as I love it. These monkeys are so cute, particularly when you link them together as in these two cards.

As well as Fox & Friends I've used the branch from the new Birdie punch (you have to get this punch), the sentiment from Sincere Saluations and the balloons from Crazy for Cupcakes. All supplies are Stampin' Up! and I'm happy to help you order them.

More Fox & Friends cards will follow ...

Happy Stamping

Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Welcome to this stop on the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue blog hop. Thanks to my lovely friend Clare for sharing her ideas with us. If you haven't arrived from Clare's blog then don't worry we are going in a loop.

When I first saw the new Mini Catalogue I knew that my first purchase from it would have to be the fabulous Bird Punch. Isn't he stunning? And he is in the new, slimline, easy to store shape.

I started by stamping on Whisper White cardstock with Real Red ink using the gorgeous Bella Toile background stamp. I used that both as a mat layer and to punch out my birds and branches. The heart is the smallest of the hearts on the Heart to Heart punch although the new heart punch in the Mini Catalogue would also be perfect. The sentiment is from the Nursery Necessities set, stamped using the amazing White Craft ink.

If you would like your own copy of the Mini Catalogue then please e-mail me and I'll post one out to you.

Thanks for stopping by and please hop on to enjoy Kirsteen's projects.

Happy Stampin'

Surely not another Mother's Day card!

Well I do only have one mother but I couldn't really give her a card I'd blogged already so I made another one especially for her. This time I used some of the gorgeous felt flowers from the new Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue which launches on 1 April.

Tomorrow I'm taking part in a blog hop with fellow demonstrators and we'll all be showcasing products from the new Mini Catalogue. There are going to be three loops going so make yourself a cup of tea before coming back tomorrow morning to join the tour.

If you'd like your own copy of the Mini Catalogue then drop me an e-mail and I'll get one out to you in the post.

Spotlight on Christmas

Posted by Picasa
Spotlight on Christmas is a new set for this year and has six great stamps, some of which fit the Stampin' Up! punches perfectly. My challenge last night to myself was to use this set with colours other than Earth Elements.
So I decided to use Rose Red and Always Artichoke from the Rich Regals colour family. The poinsettas are punched out using the SU flower punch as are the petals which were then hand-cut. There is some Dazzlin' Diamonds on the card too for that extra bit of Christmas bling. The sentiment stamp comes from the Season of Joy set (another Christmas must have).
If you'd like any more information about these stamps please get in touch.
Happy Stamping.

Stamping Away Day

Today is the second Stamping Away event and I made these toppers to go on cello bags filled with sweeties. They'll go in the goodie bags our attendees get. There are also Snowman and Robin toppers to give some new ideas for using the Stampin' Up! punches.

I think I'm all organised (that'll be a first!). Now I'd better get me ready.

Happy Stamping
